President Trump Suspicious About Secret Service Assigning Brutus to Head Up His Security

President Donald Trump has raised eyebrows and chuckles alike by expressing his unease with his new Secret Service detail head, none other than Marcus Junius Brutus, a man historically infamous for his role in the assassination of Julius Caesar.

Following a second assassination attempt, which Trump described as “a very bad, very nasty experience, almost as bad as low ratings,” the Secret Service, in a move that could only be described as puzzling, assigned Brutus to lead Trump’s security team.

At a rally in New Rome, Florida, Trump addressed the crowd, “I’ve had it with these establishment types. First, they try to take me out, now they send Brutus? I mean, come on, folks, the guy’s got a track record with knives and friends, and not the kind you have over for a barbecue!”

Insiders report that Trump was seen flipping through history books, a new hobby, perhaps sparked by his recent experiences. “You know, I’ve learned a lot,” Trump reportedly said during a meeting. “For instance, Brutus, great guy, really, but he’s got this habit of turning on you. I like my security not to have ‘Et tu, Brute?’ moments, okay?”

The Secret Service, in an attempt to reassure the public, stated, “Our agents are trained to protect, regardless of historical inaccuracies or past lives.” However, this did little to quell the humor on social media, where posts on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) exploded with memes, with one user quipping, “Trump’s new security policy: No daggers, just MAGA hats.”

Trump, never one to miss out on branding opportunity, has reportedly considered launching a new line of “Trump Security” merchandise, featuring slogans like “Safe, Not Stabbed” and “Make Assassinations Fail Again.”

In a surprising turn, Brutus issued a statement via a toga-clad spokesperson, “I assure the American people, my days of political intrigue are behind me. My loyalty is to my duty, though I understand the President’s concerns. Perhaps a team-building exercise without knives might be in order?”

As the saga unfolded, late-night hosts had a field day. “In Trump’s world, history doesn’t repeat itself; it gets a sequel,” quipped one host, while another suggested, “Maybe it’s time for Trump to switch to the Praetorian Guard. Oh wait, that didn’t end well for Caligula.”
