Kamala Harris finally agreed to a one-on-one interview with a national media outlet televised tonight. Stephanie Ruhle was to sit down for the interivew, but things took an unexpected turn upon Harris’s arrival to the studio. Instead of a normal interview, MSNBC simply brought in a gigantic cat who gave Harris a loving tongue bath for 35 minutes.

“It was the experience of a lifetime!” cackled Harris after the show. “I’ve never experienced anything so wonderful, but I think I might need a new suit. This one is covered with slobber,” she continued.

“I think this plan was just a more efficient one,” said Ruhle. “Why do a metaphorical tongue bath, when you can just do an actual tongue bath. I think the voting public benefited immensely from this exchange.”

The Harris campaign team has already decided that MSNBC has now set the standard for any future interview opportunities. “A full body tongue bath is the new standard,” said a Harris spokesperson. “If you don’t have a tongue bath ready to go, you don’t have an interview. Full stop.”

Harris was still giddy after the experience and couldn’t stop raving about it. “I didn’t think I’d want this, but I have to be unburdened by what I previously might have felt about this kind of situational situation,” she said. “I’m so looking forward to another tongue bath on a different network soon. Just don’t host the show in Springfield!” she cackled. “Don’t print that! That was off the record!”
