Kamala Blue: The Color Taking Over Fashion and… The Smurfs?

New Avant Gard ad tries to push a new Kamala Blue

Move over Tiffany Blue—there’s a new power color in town, and it’s Kamala Blue. Yes, that’s right. In an unprecedented move, the biggest names in fashion and marketing have decided to give Vice President Kamala Harris her very own color, a rich, vibrant shade of blue that she frequently dons on the campaign trail. From boardrooms to runways, Kamala Blue has become the trend of 2024, with top designers raving over its “regal yet relatable” vibe. Fashion experts are falling over themselves to give absurdly glowing, worshipful praise for what they describe as “a bold hue that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Kamala.”

Fashion Experts Are All In on Kamala Blue

“It’s not just a color,” said Miranda Glitterati, senior fashion editor for Vogue. “Kamala Blue represents hope, resilience, and unwavering ambition. It’s a color that’s both comforting and commanding, and when Kamala wears it, she owns the room. You can’t just wear blue and expect to be Kamala. You have to be Kamala when you wear it.”

Jade Fierce, a top New York designer, has already incorporated the color into her fall collection. “Kamala Blue is electric. It says, ‘I am powerful, but I’m also just like you.’ It’s a blue that transcends gender, race, and even time itself.”

Crayola Gets In on the Action

In a move that cements Kamala Blue as a cultural phenomenon, Crayola has announced that it will be adding the color to its iconic crayon collection. Kids across the nation will soon be able to color their school projects with the vibrant shade that represents, according to Crayola’s press release, “a future filled with bold, decisive leadership.”

“This isn’t just another shade of blue. This is a moment in history,” said Tim Hue, Crayola’s Chief Crayon Strategist. “We’re proud to have Kamala Blue right alongside colors like ‘Laser Lemon’ and ‘Macaroni and Cheese.'”

Things Start to Get… A Little Out of Hand

But, as with any overnight sensation, things quickly got weird. A number of die-hard Avatar and Smurf fans have started claiming Kamala as one of their own. “Forget arguing whether she’s Indian or Black,” said one fervent Avatar fan in a blue body suit. “Kamala is clearly one of us—blue and proud.”

The Smurf fanbase wasted no time jumping on the trend. Soon after Crayola announced Kamala Blue, fan art of Kamala as Smurfette began circulating online. Some even launched an online petition for a new movie in which Smurfette becomes the first female Smurf president—wearing a Kamala Blue power suit, of course.

Kamala Blue Controversy: Crossing the Line Between Race and Color?

What started as a simple fashion trend is now leading to some awkward moments. “We’re getting a lot of, um, interesting feedback,” said one Kamala campaign insider. “It was one thing when people debated her racial background—Indian? Black? Both?—but now we’re fielding questions about whether she’s actually blue. I mean, it’s flattering, but it’s also getting a little strange.”

The VP’s team has reportedly been working overtime to make sure that Kamala’s fashion choices remain grounded in reality, despite her growing association with the world of imaginary blue people.

“Look, we’re thrilled that people love Kamala Blue,” said one staffer. “But let’s not get carried away. We’re not turning her into a Smurf or an Avatar. At least, not yet.”

The Future of Kamala Blue

Despite the unexpected detours, it seems that Kamala Blue is here to stay. From fashion runways to elementary school classrooms, this color is officially part of the cultural lexicon. The question is, how far will it go? Will we soon see Kamala Blue paint jobs on cars? Entire rooms in the White House repainted in the shade?

“Kamala Blue is more than a color,” said Esmeralda Chic, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign. “It’s a movement. It’s an identity. It’s the future. If you’re not ready for Kamala Blue, you’re not ready for what’s coming.”

Only time will tell if the world will move on from this blue-hued phenomenon or if Kamala herself will have to step in and declare, “Enough with the blue already!” Either way, one thing is for sure: Kamala Blue is making waves, whether on the runway, on a Crayola box, or in the next Avatar sequel.

“Kamala Harris’ Candidacy Takes a Detour: From Politics to Pillow Talk”

In her latest attempt to engage with the American public, Vice President Kamala Harris took her campaign to a popular podcast, known for its, shall we say, more intimate discussions. What began as an opportunity to highlight her candidacy quickly devolved into the usual topics covered by the show – intimate secrets and risqué conversations about, well, things that can’t be repeated on this family-friendly platform. Suffice it to say, however, one name kept popping up during the discussion: former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.

Details about their exchange remain unprintable, but we can confirm one thing — that man has some strange hobbies.
