Charles Dunlop of Portland, Oregon, recently lamented the hateful rhetoric of modern day politics while repurposing his vintage “Bush Hitler!” poster from 2002 for an upcoming anti-Trump rally.
“It just really saddens me that we have devolved into this situation today,” said Dunlop while holding a Bush Trump Hitler sign. “The vile language and rhetoric of the Trump crowd is just dangerous. I just can’t remember a time when it’s been this bad. The dehumanizing and name-calling and totalitarian feel. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I never thought I’d live to see the day when we’d have to rise up and march on the streets to literally fight against Hitler. I mean it’s just unprecedented.”
